Limits

These limits apply to every flow. When a run reaches one, the step or the run stops with an error that you can see in Executions.

Runs

LimitValueWhat happens
Steps in one run1,000The run stops with the status Terminated. Every step counts each time it runs, so a step inside a loop counts once per pass. The Loop step itself counts once.
Time for one step60 minutesThe step fails.
Running time of one run4 hoursThe run stops with the status Timed out. Only time spent running counts: the clock starts again each time the run continues after a wait.
Waiting for a response30 daysA run that's still waiting for its callback URL after 30 days stops with the status Timed out. Waits for a set time or date aren't limited.
Executions you can browseThe last 14 daysOlder executions no longer appear in the Executions list.

A loop over 300 items with three steps inside it uses about 900 of the 1,000 steps. For bigger lists, process the items in batches, or hand each batch to a subflow, which runs as its own execution with its own count.

Loops

LimitValue
Maximum Iterations (default)1,000

Maximum Iterations is a setting on each Loop action. You can change it, but the steps-per-run limit still applies to everything the loop runs.

Flows that start other flows

A flow can change something in another DECA product, such as a Tables record, that fires a trigger in another flow. To stop these chains from running forever:

LimitValue
Flows in one chain15
Same flow twice in one chainNot allowed. The flow is not started again.

Runs you start yourself with Run in the editor are not checked.

HTTP requests

LimitValue
Timeout (default)10,000 ms (10 seconds) per attempt

Set a longer Timeout on the HTTP step for slow APIs. A single step still can't take longer than 60 minutes in total.

Files

LimitValue
Size of one file uploaded to Storage100 MB
Length of a file name255 characters
Size of one file in a run's working area100 MB
Size of an audio file for Transcribe Audio (LLM and OpenAI)25 MB

Storage doesn't accept executable files and scripts such as .exe, .bat, .cmd, .msi, .ps1, .sh and .dll.

Shared variables

These are the same limits listed in Storage. They count all shared variables in your organization.

LimitValue
Size of one value1 MB
Items in one list1,000
Shared variables per organization10,000
Total size per organization100 MB
Variables steps on shared variables, per action, per organization, per minute1,000

The last limit counts each Variables action separately, so an organization can run up to 1,000 Set Value and 1,000 Get Value steps with the Shared (all flows) scope in the same minute.
